Marry Me Chicken Pasta Recipe ♡

 Happy Sunday ❤︎ I wanted to share this recipe that my mom made the other day, this is so delicious! Omg, it's such a flavorful comfort meal.  I hope you get to try it and love it!

Ingredients ♡

• 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
• 2 Tbsp flour 

Seasoning blend:

• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper 
• 1 tsp garlic powder 
• 1/4 tsp cayenne 
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• 1/2 tsp dried thyme 
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano
• ¼ tsp dried Rosemary 

For the Sauce:

• 1 Tbsp olive oil or butter 
• 1 white onion, finely chopped 
• 1 jalapeno, finely chopped 
• 1 Tbsp minced garlic 
• 2 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves picked 
• 2 Tbsp finely chopped sundried tomatoes 
• ¼ cup chicken stock 
• ¾ cup heavy cream 
• ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese 
• 1 lb fettuccine pasta, cooked al dente in salted water      

 

 

 

 

Instructions ♡

1. Combine all the spices and herbs for the seasoning blend in a small bowl and set aside. Lay the chicken breasts onto a sheet tray or plate and season both sides with about half of the seasoning blend. Sprinkle them with the 2 Tbsp of flour on both sides and set aside
2. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and add the olive oil and chicken breasts. Sear the chicken till golden brown, about 3-4 minutes for each side. Remove from the pan and place into the oven at 350 F, for about 10-12 minutes to finish cooking.
3. While the chicken is in the oven make the sauce: to the same pan you seared the chicken in, add a little more olive oil and the chopped white onion. Saute over medium high heat until the onion softened, about 3-4 minutes then add in the chopped jalapeno and minced garlic. Cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant and beginning to brown, about 1-2 minutes then add in the sun dried tomatoes, thyme leaves and chicken stock. Cook another minute, scraping up any browned bits on the pan then stir in the heavy cream
4. Once the cream starts simmering, stir in the grated parmesan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and slightly reduced. Toss in the cooked pasta with the sauce and remove from the heat. Remove the chicken from the oven, slice the cooked chicken breasts and serve on top of the creamy, sauced pasta.

 Happy Sunday! ♡ Last week I came across the singer Becky G on Pinterest.  I've heard of her before but have never listened to her music.  This is the picture I came across and now I'm a fan! She is so cute and I especially love these outfits. You can make it more of a juice consistency or smoothie! I found this portable smoothie cup at Five Below.  It's super convenient because you can keep it in your purse and have it at work or school for a quick smoothie.  All you have to do is charge it!

My July Favorites ♡♡♡

Happy Sunday! Here are some of my favorites this month ♡

I've been using this super serum from Sonsie Skin for a few weeks now and I am truly liking the results. What attracted me to it at first was the brands aesthetic and of course the fact that it's partly Pamela Andersons skincare line. I love her and her beautiful writing! She is one of my inspirations for sure. I was looking for a serum to put on before my moisturizer and at night and this one is definitely staying with me in my routine. 

Overall, my skin is softer and smoother and I am looking forward to what the long term results will be.

I got these really cute black hair bows at claire's. They have really cute bows and accessories right now!  

This OUAI hair and body mist I lovvveee. It's my new scent for summer. It's very fresh and tropical! To me it smells like a Pina Colada (My FAVE!!!) 

Lastly this blush by Bare Minerals. It's the perfect pink!

Protection Braids and Nude Nails ♡

I was reading about braids this past week. Braiding is a sacred process in cultures around the world. There's so much to learn and all the different beliefs others have about braiding is so interesting to me.  I've heard that braiding your hair before bed is good for your hair for different reasons.  I'm not the best at braiding my hair so when I do, I ask my mom to do it.  I had some thoughts about this. When she braids my hair theres something that feels so sacred in that moment. I feel safe, calm and protected. It's as if I could feel her energy and protection while she's braiding.  It's a very spiritual moment. I'm going to start calling it a braiding protection spell.

Some beautiful things I read about braids: 

♡Connection and unity - Braiding hair is seen as a way to connect individual strands into a stronger, more unified whole. This can symbolize the interconnectedness of all things or the importance of community and togetherness.

♡ Protection and grounding - In some traditions, braids are believed to have protective or grounding qualities, helping to anchor a person spiritually or shield them from negative energies.

♡Transition and transformation - The act of braiding can represent a journey, with the braid itself signifying a period of change, growth, or transition in one's life. The braid may also symbolize the interweaving of different aspects of the self.

♡Honoring tradition - Braiding techniques and styles are often passed down through generations, so wearing braids can be a way to honor one's cultural heritage and ancestral roots.

♡Feminine power - Especially in indigenous cultures, braids are strongly associated with the divine feminine, representing concepts like fertility, creativity, and spiritual wisdom.

I also got my nails done this week! I chose this brown pinkish nude! Just wanted to share ♡

Creating a Love Altar ♡

Having a love altar is a powerful way of focusing our energy and intention into something we would like to bring into our world. It's a beautiful space of our own. A space for prayer or writing our intentions down in the privacy of our own home. It's a way that we can create a ritual, whether it be on a new moon, lighting a candle for our wishes, making offerings, or saying a nightly prayer. It's your own personal space that you can customize and be creative with.  

" An altar is a spiritual focal point: a place where you symbolically anchor your awareness of and reverence for the Divine."

 

 

Some ideas ♡

♡ Choose items that hold sentimental value or bring feelings of love and happiness

♡ Jewelry that is special to you, a poem, a love letter, photograph, a flower, oil, a journal. 

♡ Crystals, incense, sage any clearing items that you like to use before starting. 

This Rosary and Mary Magdalene prayer card are so important to me, they were given to me from my boyfriends mom.  She always reminds me to pray.  She always says your prayers will come true. 

 

 

 

 

I found this beautiful antique little jewelry box and already knew what I wanted to put in it.  I'm going to wear this necklace on my wedding day!  I've already decided in my mind. lol  ♡

Ballet Flats and a Cancer Moon ♡

 Happy Sunday ♡ 

The sun and moon were in the lovely sign of Cancer since Saturday evening. Anyone else feeling strong intense emotions this weekend? Lol. It's nice to have an outlet to share things and let out what you've been feeling. I think being more open and sharing things makes me feel better. I'm a pretty private person but being vulnerable is important too. That's something I've really learned. There are more people than we think that feel the same emotions and thoughts as we go through life. 

I want to share something I read earlier today. "Your passion always sends out strong waves because your heart chakra (Your passion comes from your heart, your passion will fill your thoughts, your thoughts will be pushed on a higher frequency) Your passion will create your success because its on a higher frequency."

 Cute things and shopping always help though!

I usually wear jeans to work. I need to take some time and get a nice tan on my legs. I want to start wearing cute sun dresses before summer is over. Time goes by so fast. I still have this KKW beauty lipstick. I miss this makeup line.
